Marc Bautil, tourism developer in the area of Miches, Dominican Republic and owner of Cabarete Maravilla Eco Lodge & Beach and the Hotel Doña Elvira in the Colonial City of Santo Domingo. Environmental advocate of Belgian nationality with 21 years living in the country and grew up in Africa with studies in civil engineering. His heart belongs largely to Africa where he observed closely the diversity of nature and animals. Thus came the idea of creating an ecological hotel in Sosua, Puerto Plata.

He is Robert Francis, a resident of Dominica for the past decade. With a decade of experience in hotel management, he has worked with renowned brands such as Marriott, Hyatt, and more. Currently, he is dedicated to enhancing both the quality and quantity aspects of hospitality at Casa Maravilla Ecolodge, a family-oriented hotel where nature seamlessly intertwines with the guest experience.

My name is Juan Carlos Vázquez, and I was born in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, where I still live today. From a young age, I dreamed of traveling the world and learning about different cultures. Fortunately, my career allowed me to make that dream come true.

With over 22 years of experience in customer service, bar, restaurant, and housekeeping supervision, I’ve had the privilege of working for Royal Caribbean, which has taken me to many parts of the world. Traveling has enriched my life in countless ways—meeting new people, experiencing diverse cultures, and tasting a variety of foods.

Customer service has always been a passion of mine. I love creating memorable experiences for others and believe that great service can leave a lasting impression. My journey is far from over, and I hope to continue exploring new places, meeting interesting people, and learning from the rich diversity of our world.
